some exchange students with there flags!!

A few weeks ago i went to a girl and boy scout with Nacha. my host sister. it was fun we just played games! one game we played we held a long stick and when the leader blew his whistle once we rand to the left and when he blew it twice we ran to the right. well near the end i didnt catch my stick in time. and it hit the girl next to me. i felt soooooo bad!! i didnt want to ever go back. but they all said she was okay. and they want me to come again. i dont know if i will. we will have to wait and see!

I went to my first Rotary meeting!! it was so much fun! it was crazy there are 50 or more inbounds. i didnt even get to meet everyone. during lunch some little kids came out and dance some dances from chile! they were so good! i want to dance like them!! and american boys need to learn to dance like them! after they were done. my friend Natalie from LA and i were very sad. we could watch them forever. but then anyone could get up and dance if they wanted to. i wanted to but no one knew how to play the songs i wanted to sing. and i have to have music to sing to. it was sad. but then we were all able to dance. that was a lot of fun!!! this meeting was with the rebounds. i got a lot of pins for my blazer! its slowly starting to look like the rebounds blazers!!!

On the 18th of Sept. it Chiles independence day. they go all out!! they have the tradional dance Cuaca. they place a lot of games! and eat a lot of really good food!! I went to a church activity as you know from my pictures. but anyways it went from10-7. A couple showed us how to do Cuaca. then we played games, tug-a-war, a hockey type of game, a game with 5 or 6 chairs where you had to do different things. like eat something, blow up a balloon and pop it, things like that. the YW chased a pig until one of them got it. and they got a good job. then the YM climbed a poll that was greesed. no one could make it to the top even with help. then one of my friends asked me to go with her and get someone who just got baptized. so i went. we went for one and we came back with 3!!! then there was 6 different groups and every group had someone to dance Cuaca and it was a dance off, and well my group won!!!! they were amazing!!! but i found out that seminary is tuesday, thursday,and friday at 830PM and mutal is wed. at 830pm. my host mom said i could go to that!! and i think im going to go to a different ward then the one i went to last week cause this ward. there are people that speak english and they were more welcoming to me. and they asked me a lot to come to there ward!!!

I went to the Birthday party. it was really fun, but it was hard for me cause everyone was drinking or smoking. i got asked so many times all night if i wanted one. BUT I SAID NO I DONT DO THAT!! and they were fine with. they didnt push it on me. it was hard for me to see kids my age and younger doing those things. the 2nd hand smoke made me really sick. I really need to be around mormon people and think the same as me after that. so my host mom took me to church and she and my 2 host sisters went with me! and they had a great time. The young women lesson was about how we need to little things for people, like giving up our seat on the bus for someone who is elderly. its a small thing we do but its a big thing for them. so the YW said they were going to learn has much english they could so they could talk to me and feel more welcome.

I Started school the 27 of AUG. i was kind of nervous sense i dont know spanish very well. but there are 3 or 4 in my class that speak really good english. before i came they kept asking my host sister. nacha how i was. they wanted to meet me so bad!! so on my first day they all gathered around my desk and asked me questions. It was someones birthday that saturday that i was invited to. we were going to go shopping on wed. sense it was a half day. but it was raining really hard so i didnt go.
